Topic#1 : The Hidden Truth Behind “Helping” Content: Value or Just Monetization?

Scroll through YouTube or any popular blog platform today, and you’ll notice a common theme—everyone seems to be “helping.” Whether it’s financial advice, productivity hacks, or life lessons, the tone is often noble: “I’m doing this to add value to your life.”

But if we pause for a moment and reflect honestly, a different layer emerges.

Most content today operates at the intersection of value and monetization.

There are broadly 3 categories of creators

1) Pure Value First (rare) – Genuinely focused on helping and Money is a byproduct

2) Hybrid (majority) – Want to help and earn, provide some value but also optimize for views, clicks, sales

3) Purely Profit Driven – Content is shallow/exaggerated and Goal is just to maximize clicks/conversions

The key is to consume such content with a filter, check whether it is an actionable OR just a motivational fluff. The job is just to navigate it wisely. Now this is not a rocket science, everyone is aware of this but still many people get carried away by the flow, even when they are aware of it. Make a conscious effort to shift your thinking.
